Street children locked up The children, ranging in age from eight to 16 years old, were detained in the cells at the Windhoek Central Police Station in Independence Avenue, from where they were set to be transferred to the juvenile custody section of the Wanaheda Police station.
The City Police on Wednesday night picked up 16 street children for allegedly contravening the Windhoek's bylaws by illegally squatting on public property.
